GeniusCount is Swiss accounting software for accounting firms managing multiple engagements. Each engagement brings together bookkeeping, document management, invoicing, Swiss VAT and Swissdec-certified payroll in a single file, with AI agents connected to its data. The agents prepare the engagement's recurring work: filing the documents uploaded by the client, importing bank statements and matching payments, proposing entries, VAT returns, invoices and payroll. The staff member approves; review, year-end close and advisory work remain human. Billing is a fixed fee per engagement, from CHF 9.90 per engagement per month, with no cost per user and a firm minimum of CHF 200 per month. Data is hosted in Switzerland.

Pricing is a fixed package per mandate, from CHF 9.90/mandate/month (accounting, invoicing and payroll included), with a firm minimum of CHF 200/month. The S, M or L tier adjusts automatically to the mandate's volume.
The tier follows the volume actually processed on the engagement, not a category chosen in advance. Engagement S covers 50 entries, 25 documents and 2 employees per month for CHF 9.90; Engagement M, 200 entries, 100 documents and 10 employees for CHF 29; Engagement L, 500 entries, 250 documents and 25 employees for CHF 49. An engagement that grows changes tier without changing contract or file.
It is the floor amount billed to a firm, whatever the number of engagements opened. As long as the sum of the engagements stays below CHF 200 per month, that amount applies; beyond it, only the sum of the engagements is billed. A firm that is starting out therefore knows its maximum cost before taking on its first file.
Yes: per-mandate billing follows the size of your portfolio. A small firm pays the CHF 200/month firm minimum and adds mandates as it grows, without changing tools.
No. Billing is based on engagements, not workstations: you can invite your whole team with no cost per user. An additional staff member therefore does not change your subscription amount.
As long as a higher tier exists, the engagement moves to it automatically. Beyond the Engagement L tier, the excess is billed per unit: CHF 0.05 per additional entry, CHF 0.10 per additional document and CHF 0.90 per additional employee. No engagement is blocked because it produced more entries than in a usual month.
An AI accounting agent is an assistant connected to an engagement's data, which prepares recurring tasks from that data: reading uploaded documents, proposing entries, matching payments, preparing returns. In GeniusCount the agent works engagement by engagement, prepares and flags whatever calls for a decision; approval always rests with a staff member.
AI agents prepare and assist: they import the bank, propose entries and flag doubtful cases. Validation, review and advice remain human; we recommend supervising the work carried out by the agents.
The agents handle an engagement's recurring accounting work: receiving and filing the documents uploaded by the client, importing bank statements and matching payments, reading supplier invoices and proposing entries, preparing VAT returns, issuing client invoices and preparing payroll. Anything calling for judgement is flagged to the staff member rather than guessed.
No. The agents prepare the period's entries and returns; the review, closing entries and valuation choices remain the work of the staff member and the expert. GeniusCount aims to give them back time on data entry, not to replace their professional judgement.
The client uploads invoices and supporting documents through the portal, by e-mail or by ePost. The documents arrive directly in the engagement's document management system, filed and dated, without passing through a staff member's inbox.
Yes. GeniusCount takes in statements in CAMT.053 or CSV format and supports bank connections via bLink and EBICS. Transactions are matched against the corresponding documents and exceptions are flagged.
Yes. GeniusCount handles Swiss VAT under both the effective method and the net tax debt rate method. An engagement's return is prepared from the period's entries, then reviewed by the staff member before filing.
Yes. Payroll management is included in each engagement's fee, and GeniusCount is Swissdec certified (ELM 5.0) for electronic transmission to social insurers. The month's payroll is prepared from the current contracts; transmission waits for human confirmation.
Yes: accounting, VAT, invoicing and Swissdec-certified payroll are combined in a single software per mandate, avoiding juggling several tools and re-entering the same data.
Each engagement can have a shared client area: the client uploads documents there by portal, e-mail or ePost, and sees whatever you choose to share. There is no cost per user, and the firm keeps control of entries, review and year-end close.
Yes. You can import an existing chart of accounts and entries, and we support you when taking over your mandates. Contact us to plan the migration.
No. Since billing is per engagement, you can start with a few files, measure the time saved, then move the rest of the portfolio at your own pace. The CHF 200/month firm minimum applies from the first engagement opened.
GeniusCount is an online application: nothing to install or maintain on workstations. Your staff access it from a browser, wherever they are, and updates are automatic.
Data is hosted in Switzerland and processed on Microsoft infrastructure located in Europe.
Yes. The engagement is the unit that carries bookkeeping, document management, payroll, tax and access rights: each file is therefore self-contained. A firm can hand an engagement to a staff member without opening the whole portfolio to them.
